My scholarly research in visual imagery and writing go back to my doctoral dissertation, to several articles I have published in scholarly journals, and to my co-edited book
Language and Image in the Reading-Writing Classroom: Teaching Vision. However, the fact that one of my pieces of visual art will aid students in their literacy development ("an image is worth a thousand words") delights my heart and soul!
